My journey into real estate was not a straight path. Having spent a lot of time outside the country as a child learning different languages (French and Spanish), I got my bachelor’s degree in International Studies. Then during our first tour of Hampton Roads, I attended ODU for a master’s degree in Linguistics and TESOL and set out to be a teacher. But after another few moves that included buying, renting, and selling real estate, my interest in the subject grew. I was part of the BRRR movement (Buy Renovate Rent Repeat) before it was a thing! Then while stationed near Camp Lejeune, NC., more than a decade ago, I decided to pursue real estate professionally.

I have been a military spouse for 30 years and almost half of that time has been spent in Hampton Roads (not consecutively of course!). I certainly understand the complexities of whether you’re buying an investment property or a home for your family, I thrive on the challenge of finding that “right fit”, and then making sure all the pieces come together smoothly for your transition to this area. As a seller’s agent, I am an excellent communicator to all involved in the transaction so we’re all on the same page and can move together to close the deal.

As the mother of 3 Eagle Scouts, I have found real estate to be the place where I can “do a good turn daily”. I recently joined Green Tree with their motto of “Gratitude, Trust and Reliability” as those have been pillars in my life.

In my free time, my husband and I have 2 dogs, 3 college kids, and a long list of hobbies from gardening to bird watching.
